outdoor fireplaces

After seven years of waiting, hubby and I are finally bought a new house. The house is almost furnish upon purchase. All we will need to buy is only one bed for my son. Now my problem is that, there are two outdoor fireplaces and that is one in the basement and another one in the living room. The basement fireplace has a rust though I don’t know how to clean with it.
