If Indonesia has this very elegant scarf, with matching shiny beads and glittering sequence, that our Muslim sisters use, the Philippines also has something to offer in the Linen and Textile industry. We call it “Batik”. Batik is a thin cloth made of cotton and colored with different shades. They are carefully hand colored. These clothes are then made to a more practical garment such as sarong, long pants, t-shirts and sando’s. Batik are often used during the months of April and May, during summer time.
